New Men´s WFC opening day spectator records! – 01.12.2018

The 12th Men´s WFC is held in Prague between 1st-9th December and the tournament has already attracted a lot of audience.

The Men´s World Floorball Championships 2018 kicked off today in Prague, Czechia. The tournament, which aims to be the biggest WFC yet, has already broken records during the first day.

12,326 spectators watched as the home team Czech Republic won against Germany 10-5. This is the new opening day match spectator record. The match between floorball giants Finland and Sweden also gained a lot of eyes as 10,113 spectators cheered for the teams. All in all, 31,073 floorball fans attended the first day of WFC 2018 which is also the new opening day total attendance record.

The previous records were from WFC 2016 in Riga, Latvia. The match between Latvia and Sweden had 8,011 spectators and 13,280 fans attended the first day.
